InfoEra JSC, in cooperation with Lithuanian surveyors, municipalities and government institutions, developed software GIS GeoMap and WEB GIS GeoMap designed for municipality GIS and Geodesy specialists, which are responsible for topographical and cartographical data administration. The product is adapted to use it in Lithuanian companies and fulfils all necessary Legal Acts of the Republic of Lithuania. With this software, your municipal professionals always have the latest high quality topographical information, necessary for decision-making.

Currently, 15 Lithuanian municipalities use GIS GeoMap and WEB GIS GeoMap software. Surveyors and municipality specialists are found a lot of benefits from using this software. For municipalities market we have product named GIS GeoMap based on Autodesk Map 3D platform and WEB GIS GeoMap based on Autodesk MapGuide.

GIS GeoMap – provides for mucipalities specialists to effectively manage topographic material, and the information associated with it.

GIS GeoMap is for municipalities specialists who are responsible for topographical and cadastral data:

• Organize cartographical data updates, topography data quality control, archive data;
• Administer various scales topographical data, also collects information about network utilities (gas, water, and waste water, electric);
• Participate in geoinformation system creation process.

Workflow: Surveyors asks for the topographical data and permission to do geodetic measurements on particular territory from municipality GIS specialist. Then municipality specialist looks in topographical DB and if this territory isn’t reserved for other measurements, gives territory data and permission to do geodetic measurements for surveyor. After surveyor completes his work, he gives back the data to the municipality. Municipality specialist checks if the data meets all standards and integrates the data into main topographical database.

WEB GIS GeoMap is an extension of GIS GeoMap system designed for municipality GIS and Geodesy specialists.

Workflow: All relevant information can be found online through a web browser. Users, who want to connect to the system, must register in the municipality and get a username and password from there. Registered user, when he is logged into the system can view all the data which municipality is published. User can use search in a variety of perspectives (address, street, places, etc.).

Surveyor request data from municipality by defining a polygon, on the interactive web map, in which region he is planning to work, also surveyor must submit such information as the license number, time when work must be done, other important information.

When municipality’s specialist receives a request, with one click he authorizes this request and gives to surveyor the topographical data in this requested region. The data which surveyor receives is legal copy of municipality’s topographical database of concrete region. The data is in DWG format and national coordinate system. This data automatically is transferred to the server, where is accessible to the particular registered user who was requesting for this data. From this moment surveyor can start his measurements in the field.
When surveyor receives the data he collects new data in the field and fills the result file with new geodetic objects, which should be made according local standards. Prepared data surveyor should send to municipality for the data quality assurance process, and if there are no mistakes this data is integrated into municipality’s topographical data base.

• Through the web surveyors request the data for geodetic measurements;
• Municipality specialist automatically gives back topographical DB for requested territory to the particular surveyor;
• Municipality can publish their GIS and topographical data to the internet.
