GeoMap 2011 is the most popular and cost effective software used by Lithuanian surveyors for more than 8 years. Software GeoMap 2011 is JSC InfoEra product compatible with Autodesk Inc. AutoCAD Map 2011 with functionality adapted for local surveyors needs.

1. Effectively manage field measurements.

Import data from the electronic measuring devices. All measured and codec points are automatically inserted as geodetic symbols with additional text information. Software has flexible data import technology and powerful survey calculations. Data can be imported from various electronic measurement instruments collected in any format.


Travers bearing and adjusting. Software has possibility to adjust closed or elongated traverse, calculate hanging traverse coordinates. As a result of traverse program calculates are Travers errors: Angular, relative and growth errors. After calculations we can draw traverse schema or insert measured elements.

Travers management. In stations table we can see all stations from which we were measuring also we can see detailed information about measurements from each station. In drawing we can automatically annotate vector directions from the station to the points, draw traverse schema, from dialog zoom to each measured point.

Automatically insert measured points. It can be done in four different ways:

  • Manually inputting each Points X, Y coordinates.
  • Polar or Angular methods: when you know base points coordinates, distance and angle to other measured points.
  • Most popular method: from filled measurement log file. Field works have to be written into *.txt file.
  • Directly import data from electronic measurement instruments.

After automatic traverse calculation, depending on measured point’s code, program inserts drawing element (point, line, polygon) with specific properties such as: block name, line type, layer, color, geocode, etc.

Create points file to equipment for delineation. With this component you can prepare file for your measuring equipment before the actual measurements and upload it into your instrument.

 


2. Resolve various surveying tasks.

Calculate intersections, perpendiculars and other points. Specially designed tools will help you to know azimuth and distance between two points, will add point objects to polyline vertices or at specified distances along it, draw perpendiculars to or from the line.

Automaticaly draw objects. Remember that clever point coding while measuring will result much faster drawing! With our software by clicking one button you can draw building facades, porches, shelters also line objects such as railway, road, slopes and so on.


Analyze points in the drawing. Measured points (pickets) in the drawing you can analyze by their parameters (Height, Code and Number). You can execute queries regarding these parameters. Also you can change queried pickets parameter automatically. You can change picket's height by one button click it will help you to clear out situation in various scales.

Automatically design Parcels. Automatically will draw Parcel through measured points. Devide Parcel by defining area and picking which Parcel point or side must be changed.

 


3. Conveniently manage different formats of GIS, CAD or ortophotographic and raster data.

Conveniently manage different formats of GIS, CAD. You can directly access, edit and export such formats:

  • ESRI SHP files. Most popular geospatial GIS format.
  • ESRI ArcInfo Coverage files.
  • Autodesk’s DXF, DWG, MicroStation DGN CAD files. Usual used by architects.
  • MapInfo MIF/MID/TAB format files. This this also popular GIS format.
  • Directly Access live data from ArcSDE, Oracle or ODBC servers.
  • Open source GIS data formats: xml, gml formats.

Conveniently manage ortophotographic and other raster data.

 

Our software supports raster formats:

  • Digital ortophotographic maps (TIF, ECW, mrSid formats).
  • Scanned topographic data (tif, gif, bmp formats).

With our programmed special tools you can:

  • Insert geographically orientated raster.
  • Cut raster the way that you need.
  • Automaticali insert ortophoto image by clicking point in the drawing.
  • Turn on/off image frames.


4. Necessary geodesic symbol libraries, prepared plan templates and data quality checking capability according your national standards.

 

Draw predefined symbols. With created predefined symbols (points, lines, polygon) user can draw various situation on the field. All predefined symbols are adapted to local standards.
Draw slopes. Creation of slopes (supported or unsupported, slopes for quarry) is very fast. User must select points or lines which restricts slope and that’s it!

 

Automatically fill plan tables. We, according local standards, prepared templates which contains various tables. These templates can be loaded into drawing in necessary paper format (A3, A2, A1, A0). All table parameters (address, area, parcel center coordinates, etc.) you will fill one time and use throughout all document. All parcel coordinates are filled automatically user selects only parcels polyline.

 

Automatically add labels to objects.

 

With one button click you can add labels to:

  • Any point coordinates on the drawing.
  • Distance between two points or selected object’s (line or polyline) vertices.
  • Selected objects area.
  • Azimuth or angle between lines.
  • Plane-tablets and its adjacent nomenclature and grid (if necessary).
  • With dynamic annotations, you can add labels to objects which will be linked to their atributical information (for example: gas pipe diameter will be written into particular line property and labeled as text object). These two values will be synchronized (if text label changes, line property automatically will be changed).

Manhole cards creation module. This module will help you to make manhole cards when measuring underground objects and making detailed drawings for communications. Their settings, cuts, or tying schemes can always be adjusted. Also you can  automatically create manhole section views and print all manhole cards with one button click.

 

Data quality checking capability. This module provides an ability to work under your local standards of geodesy. A specially designed template, the flexible drawing data correctness checking, automatic error correction will significantly accelerate your work. In Lithuania such data correctness checking is moderated by local municipalities. All surveyors have to check their work with this module to get agreement from government institutions.

 


5. Powerful ground surface creation and graphical display engine.


With this powerful module users can automatically create surfaces and draw contours for topographical plans.
For surface creation user must choose the area where is inserted measured points with their altitudes, border and software will triangulate surface. Where relevant, you can edit previously created surface model by entering or removing the current terrain points or the fracture lines.
When you have surface model you can automatically draw contours. Countors will be drawn by one of these methods: Polyline, Spline or Bezier. Our software has ability not to draw contours lines on selected objects (buildings, roads, etc.). Also user can automatically annotate contour lines with text representing its altitude or draw contours depressions.

 


6. Transform objects and drawings between different coordinate systems.


The coordinate transformation module is designed to transform selected objects in the drawing or only selected coordinate, or the entire data file from one coordinate system to another.

 

Features and benefits:

  • Transform between various local coordinate system and national or geographical coordinate systems.
  • With friendly user interface transform between coordinate systems:
    • Selected object in the drawing;
    • Particular selected coordinate;
    • The entire data file with points coordinates.
  • Transform drawing objects, when you have at least two point’s coordinates in both coordinate systems.
  • User can save transformation results to the text file.
  • Users can create a commonly used transformation commands. In this case, a single push of a button will transform the objects from one coordinate system to other.


7. Create tables and use their templates.


This module is for users who work with tabular data. With this module user can create tables with user interface like Microsoft Excel. Also these tables can be as templates for data imports from various data sources (such as AutoCAD objects properties, or Microsoft Access database etc.)

Features and benefits:

  • User-friendly interface – in separate editor you can easy create any table and insert it to the drawing. For every cell of the table you can specify text properties (font, size, alignment, and color), the colors for the background or borders and etc. The program comes with an easy-to-use help system.
  • Quickly create template for data import – with user-friendly editor you can quickly select objects for import.
  • Import data from MDB and DBF databases – SQL queries can be used to select data for import.
  • Import data from Autodesk Map object data tables – the data of selected objects are imported to specified template. A new table is created and it can be edited using „CAD Tables“.
  • Import values from drawing object properties – the values of object properties are imported to templates. Objects could be lines, polylines, points, blocks, circles, arcs, ellipses and splines.
  • Export data to the text file – by one button click you can save all data of the table to the text file.
  • Easy to edit – you can use table editor to change properties of the table, but it's not necessary to use it for cells editing.
  • Flexible management of table parameters – at any time you can change scale, text scale, text layers, lines and fill layers and other properties for earlier created tables.


8. Use object atributical data.

This module is for users who work with objects atributical data. It makes easier to search, review and edit object data.

Features and benefits:

  • User-friendly interface – in separate editor you can view and edit all required object data. In object data editor you can sort, mark and unmark records, shift marked records to the top, copy and insert values and etc.
  • Quickly find and select Objects according to their Object Data – you can find and select objects by special filter command. This command filter objects according to the object data.
  • Visual assign ID to Objects – after selecting objects and picking required ID from the list, ID will be automatically assigned to the selected objects. ID will be saved to the object data table, which name is specified in the settings.
  • Automatically attach Object Data Tables to Objects – object data tables can be automatically attached to objects according to ID and object type.
  • Perform arithmetic Operations with Fields of Object Data Table – arithmetic operations with object data can be performed to selected objects. Operations, which must be done, are saved in the settings.
  • Copy Object Data to other Objects – all object data (data tables with values) are copied to selected objects.
  • Create Annotation from Object Data – create annotation to each polyline or line from values of object data table. Text style of annotation, layer, centering and other parameters you can save in settings.
  • Replace Blocks with other Blocks – all blocks, which are corresponding to parameters, are replaced by new blocks. Value of block attributes remain the same, if new blocks have the same attribute definition. Object data for new blocks remain the same too.
  • Automatically export Objects to SHP Files – by one command, different objects according to object data, are exported to SHP files.


9. GeoRaster module for Raster Correction, rubersheeting and other operations.


With GeoRaster module you can make better and precise projects, with scanned drawing and maps. You can autocorrect scanned rasters. Fix skewed and stretched drawings. Save made changes for future use.

 

Features and benefits:

  • Image display. GeoRaster module functionality enables users to choose from a wide range of image data for use in projects, helping to save time. Supported types raster (tif, .tiff, .bmp, dib, .rle, .gp4, .mil, .rst, .cg4, .cal, .flc, .fli, .bil, .ig4, .igs, .jpg, .jpeg, .pcx, .pct, .png, .rlc, .tga).
  • Operation with images. GeoRaster module enables a nonuniform adjustment of rasters based on the movement of known control points to new locations. Use this functionality when you want two or more different data sets from different sources needs to be aligned geographically: for example, when stretching a new subdivision map into a preexisting map.
  • Rubbersheeting. Get more accurate scanned and aerial photography maps with GeoRaster module. Transform or stretch an image by matching corresponding control points in maps and drawings. Our GeoRaster module employs a polynomial algorithm, that can be executed using degree 1 polynomial, degree 2 polynomial, degree 3 polynomial. Solutions are finding by least square method. There is free selection of correction vectors, ability to select correction vectors using grid, import and export correction vectors from / to text file. Just import raster, pick correction vectors and get accurate maps in the drawings.
    Correlated Image saving. GeoRaster module provides possibility to save image with world coordinates file. Save an image either for use in another graphics application, or to save the image correlation data for later use. World file, for use with other image formats, is created automatically, when saving image. More about this module.
